Hierarchical Repetition Extraction for Building Façade Reconstruction from Oblique Aerial Images

چکیده
In this paper we introduce an approach for automatic recognition and reconstruction of building facade structure from oblique aerial images. Contrast to street-view image oblique aerial image has larger field of view but lower resolution, weaker texture and more noise. To overcome these shortcomings, our approach firstly analyses the horizontal distribution density to extract individual facade area from image. Then a hierarchical repetition detection method is employed to partition the facade and recognize structural elements. Finally, the geometry structure of each facade element is reconstructed jointly by all repetitive image tiles. Results show the potentials of the proposed approach. * Corresponding author.

Towards a More Efficient Detection of Earthquake Induced Façade Damages Using Oblique Uav Imagery
Urban search and rescue (USaR) teams require a fast and thorough building damage assessment, to focus their rescue efforts accordingly. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are able to capture relevant data in a short time frame and survey otherwise inaccessible areas after a disaster, and have thus been identified as useful when coupled with RGB cameras for façade damage detection. Existing literatu...
متن کاملHierarchical Regularization of Polygons for Photogrammetric Point Clouds of Oblique Images
Despite the success of multi-view stereo (MVS) reconstruction from massive oblique images in city scale, only point clouds and triangulated meshes are available from existing MVS pipelines, which are topologically defect laden, free of semantical information and hard to edit and manipulate interactively in further applications. On the other hand, 2D polygons and polygonal models are still the i...

Oblique photography technology as an excellent method for 3-D city model construction has brought itself to large-scale recognition and undeniable high social status. Tilt and vertical images with the high overlaps and different visual angles can produce a large number of dense matching point clouds data with spectral information. This paper presents a method of buildings reconstruction with st...

متن کاملModeling Façade Structures Using Point Clouds From Dense Image Matching
The automated generation of 3D computer models for urban planning and disaster management is an ongoing activity since about two decades. For 10-15 years aerial LiDAR seemed to be a key technology to solve the data collection problem for this purpose. Today, aerial photographs with nadir and oblique viewing directions overcome many obstacles and can be processed by dense image matching algorith...
